Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
The Parish of St John Paul II Armadale and Toorak is committed to Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults.
Safeguarding at Our Parish
We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. This commitment flows from the life and teaching of Jesus, upholding the dignity of every person. Our clergy, staff, and volunteers work collaboratively to foster a culture of safety, guided by clear policies and practices designed to prevent harm and to ensure timely and appropriate responses should concerns or incidents arise.
Our Volunteers
To ensure a safe and well-supported environment, all volunteers hold a current Working with Children Check, and complete the necessary safeguarding steps. For more information, see our Parish volunteering page.
Child Safeguarding Resources
Our Parish takes all allegations seriously and have an appointed person who is responsible for responding to any complaints made by staff, volunteers, parents, or children, and supporting our commitment to a safe and respectful environment. If you have concerns or a complaint, you can contact our Parish Office directly, and/or access the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne’s Safeguarding resources, reporting pathways and Safeguarding Unit.
